The trade fair for logistics and material flow takes place every year in May at the same time as the packaging fair in Dortmund. It is a meeting point at the heart of the Ruhr region, for companies and experts from logistics and packaging companies as well as users from the industry.
The efficient, two-day trade fair ensures an ideal starting point for business and networking within logistics actors and packaging community with the possibility of expanding one’s knowledge of the new technologies in the market. According to the organisers the trade fair s indispensable for companies, logistics experts and users from all relevant industrial sectors with its wide overview of the industry.
For the fourth time in a row, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Bernd Noche, chair of Centre for Logistics and Transport and Department of Transport Systems- Logistics at university of Duisburg-Essen represented the Smart Track 4 waterway project status and results with a focus on last mile delivery in urban areas for the audience at the trade fair "LOGISTICS & DISTRIBUTION.
Beside that, on the second day Prof. Dr. Bernd Noche hosted the Mobility Forum in this trade fair. There he had the opportunity to discuss and show the importance of the usage of inland waterway opportunities for urban logistics.
