EU Green Week - Recovery of valuable resources from wastewater

Online

1 June 2021 - 1 June 2021

Sewage and other wastewater streams contain valuable substances that can be used as raw materials for bio-based products. However, in Europe this potential is hardly exploited yet, which results in loss of valuable materials. At the same time the re-use of sewage water could lead to reduction of CO2-emmissions and reduction of the use of fossil fuels.

On Tuesday 1 June 09.30 – 12.00, the Interreg NWE project WoW! (wider business opportunities for raw materials from waste water) will organize an online webinar about the different possibilities to recover valuable resources from wastewater. Besides results from WoW!, also BBI-JU project Deeppurple, Interreg 2-seas project Nereus and Horizon 2020 project nextGen will tell more about their approaches to recover resources from wastewater.
