Prof. Dr.-Ing. Bernd Noche from the Logistics Department at the University of Duisberg Essen gave a presentation on the second day of the STL fair about the ST4W project with a focus on the following topics:
"Digitization and IT in logistics: "management systems" and
"Components for modern technology and logistics".
After explaining the importance of Inland waterways transport in today’s logistics and the possibility of digitalization in this field, prof. Noche described the general aspect of ST4W project followed by successful pilots in this project, which took place in the involved areas of this project in different countries and presented the details.
He presented the steps of ST4W project which were already established and the new chapter of the project in the existing time until the end of the project. At the end of the presentation, the new animation movie of ST4W project was displayed to the audience.
