International Repair Day 2020

Everywhere

17 October 2020

The aim of the annual International Repair Day is to emphasize that repair is good for the environment, for our climate and for a resilient society.

It is of course a perfect day to also come forward with the ShaRepair project.

In Belgium, project partners Maakbaar Leuven, Stad Leuven and Repair & Share are joining forces to organize several coronaproof events in Leuven, together with other local organizations.

  • With circular city walks, a Repair Café (make an appointment), workshops for children, as well as a colourful and musical action for the Right to Repair, they make citizens aware of the importance of repairing.
  • Repair Café repairers can follow workshops on the possibilities of 3D printing and receive tips and tricks to repair electrical appliances faster and easier.
  • During interactive sessions, citizens and community repairers will learn more about the plans for a repair hub in Leuven, digital tools for repairers and the possibilities of the online platform RepairConnects, one of the pilots of the ShaRepair project.
