BlueWise Marine, formerly known as "SmartBay Ireland" supports the Marine Institute and SEAI in the promotion and management of projects at the SmartBay National Marine and Renewable Energy Test Site in Galway Bay. The site is used to test and validate a range of low carbon and novel sensors and equipment within the facility. The site is pre-consented (“envelope” approach), under a 35 years lease with three test-berths, of which one can be used for testing floating wind device. BlueWise Marine also provides data to support R&D.
