HHNK is responsible for the water management of the island of Texel it involves water safety, waste water treatment, pumping stations and installations. HHNK is the largest energy user on the island and has the ambition to reduce the amount of fossil energy in their energy use. HHNK will develop an innovative energy balance system based on their existing water balance system - this will make it possible to use water as a energy buffer and to use locally produced renewable energy.
