ITEG project partner Orbital have released a new short film sharing the development of the O2 tidal turbine.
The turbine, rated at 2MW, is a key element of the integrated ITEG solution which will see tidal power used to generate hydrogen.
The O2 technology will be tested at EMEC's Fall of Warness tidal test site near the island of Eday in Orkney. The combine tidal and hydrogen solution will address grid limitations experienced in some remote communities in North-West Europe.
