Presentation on STE to Irish Government officials

On the 30th of May, members of 3 of the ICaRE4Farms partners gave an online presentation to Irish Government officials about the Next Generation of Solar Thermal Energy (STE) systems.

In an effort to raise awareness of solar thermal energy in Ireland, and to influence changes in policy to try to get the agricultural sector to use more STE an online meeting was held where invited officials from the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine, The Sustainable Energy Association of Ireland and Teagasc

3 presentations were given to the officials. The first was by Romain Giannini from Laval Mayenne Technopole, who gave an overview of the ICaRE4Farms project. The second from Gilles Beaujean from the Chamber Of Agriculture Pays De La Loire was about the pilot site in France. The third by Noel Ballantyne from the Northern and Western Regional Assembly was about the subsidies/grants that were available in the other partner countries for those that install STE on farms and he also gave a quick run through of the feasibility tool that the project is developing.
