Method to set and monitor reuse efforts

These four reports form a set that addresses various aspects related to recovery and reuse rates. These documents are intended for project owners, public authorities, and any organization involved in setting, monitoring, and reporting on recovery and reuse rates in construction and renovation projects for buildings and outdoor developments (such as roads and landscaping). The four documents are as follows: Setting, Monitoring, and Reporting on Recovery and Reuse Rates in Construction Projects: A Common Approach. It establishes the necessary definitions and presents the key methodological aspects for addressing the issue of reuse and recovery rates. Post-analysis of 32 Construction and Renovation Projects: Results and Discussions. This document provides a calculation and analysis of the reuse rates achieved in a sample of 32 recently completed projects. 32 Detailed Project Sheets: Information on Projects, Reuse Rates, and Reused Elements. This document complements the project analysis. It provides detailed results for each analyzed project in terms of its specific characteristics. It also offers a more in-depth overview of the nature and quantity of materials that were able to be reused within these projects. Live tests. Report on 4 operations using reuse targets. As part of the writing of reuse manuals for specific trades of contractors, the FCRBE partners Embuild and Buildwise organise in Brussels a series of workshop in two languanges, French and Dutch, to gather different professionals of the construction industry and recover feedback from the field. This second workshop will take place on 18 april and will adress the important issue of technical specifications and responsabilities. Read More
