eHUBS at Shared Mobility Rocks 2019

The 8th of October 2019, eHUBS project partners Autodelen.net and Taxistop organized Shared Mobility Rocks, the international symposium on shared mobility, which took place in the Brussels Event Brewery.

This characteristic location provided the perfect look and feel to the second edition of this rocking event. More than 50 mobility experts shared their insights and passion with 300 international participants from all over Europe and the world.

In the afternoon, a rocking session about eHUBS took place. This session was moderated by eHUBS project coordinator Arjen Rodenburg.

eHUBS partner cities Amsterdam and Leuven presented the approach to eHUBS and to the rollout of shared and electric mobility solutions in their city. Debbie Dekkers (City of Amsterdam) focused on the bottom-up approach adopted by the city, in order to create ten eHUBS by the end of the project. Tim Asperges (City of Leuven) gave insights in the regulatory framework they are creating to cluster electric shared mobility at their 50 eHUBS (mobipunten in Dutch). Lastly, Rebecca Karbaumer (City of Bremen) from the SHARE NORTH project shared her 15-year experience with setting up Möbilpunkte in Bremen. She gave deeper insights in the planning process and in the stakeholders involvement phase of the eHUBS deployment.

Shared Mobility Rocks was attended by many eHUBS partners, such as:  Autodelen.net, Taxistop, City of Leuven, City of Amsterdam, University of Antwerpen, Bayern Innovatif and Ville de Dreux.
