Experience

NEOBUILD is the Luxembourgish technological innovation cluster for sustainable construction and is located south Luxembourg. Its main missions include R&D support such as feasibility studies, building partnership, project launch, intellectual property protection and technology monitoring. NEOBUILD is working daily in sectors such as eco-materials, Green ICT, eco-technologies as well as construction management. NEOBUILD has also designed and built a living-lab, the “NILL” (Neobuild Innovation Living Lab) focussing on positive energy building, designed for testing innovative technologies and B2B, and acts as a start-up incubator. NEOBUILD’s expertise will greatly contribute to E=0 project in particular to disseminate new technologies, innovative processes among constructors to make E=0 concepts possible. NEOBUILD will intervene locally at the luxembourgish level as the E=0 facilitator. The luxembourgish market is small and expected to profit from the other NWE areas avances. NEOBUILD's involvement will enable Luxembourgish "energy efficiency retrofit" actors to enter other NWE areas, and bridge E=0 to the German territory. NEOBUILD involvement in WP5, will allow luxembourgish constructors and suppliers (i.e. construction material, financial services, etc.) to deliver product and services that matches all requirements of E = 0 refurbishment. NEOBUILD will largely contribute to the WP2 (Communication) and will capitalise its knowledge and experience involving top international experts in low-energy technology for building. NEOBUILD’s sharing information approach/working habits will ensure a reliable feedback towards other partners involved in the project. The NEOBUILD internet platform will also be very valuable in dissemination activities and networking in WP2 and in providing effective support to long term effects and transferability (WP1).
