Block Materials is a start-up that applies blockchain technology to real estate challenges and the circular economy. It makes inventories of materials in buildings, secures the information about these materials (e.g. property rights) with blockchain technology in conventional databases. On the basis of the secured information BLM makes new information products about the value of the materials in a building, or about the economic value of reduced CO2 emissions when materials are reused.
