EGEC, the European Geothermal Energy Council, is a non-profit international organisation founded in 1998 to promote the European geothermal industry and enable its development both in Europe and worldwide, by shaping policy, improving business condition, and driving more research and development. Based in Brussels, EGEC works with its members on policy, market intelligence, and communication, providing a link between the industry and European institutions. More than 120 members from 28 countries, representing more than 500 entities including developers, equipment manufacturers, electricity providers, national associations, consultants, research centres, geological surveys, and public authorities, make EGEC a unique network, uniting and representing the entire European geothermal sector. EGEC is an expert in networking and strategic consulting and will contribute their knowledge and experiences to the DGE-Rollout project by attending meetings and supporting with advice by the activities market evaluation and network expansion because it has a large number of high level contacts in industry that could help roll out geothermal energy in NWE region. EGEC acta as reviewer of DGE-ROLLOUT and supports the DGE-Rollout project with insider views and knowledge of the European geothermal energy sector. Read More
