Transnational web meeting in November

Online

10 November 2022

On 10 November 2022, the 5th Transnational Support Meeting for the CAN Capitalisation Phase took place online.

Whitney Bader, the City of Liège, presented the new web platform “Entreprendre durable” to the partnership in the first part of the meeting. She explained the process of creation and the need to improve communication of the city with a more comprehensive and user-friendly platform for SMEs. She showed the partnership the different functions of the platform: thanks a filter process, the SMEs can find specific information adapted to their sector and needs, and then choose the right support (audit, loans, subsidies etc). The idea was to collect all information on one place. They chose a broader scope than CAN SME originally have, including non-profit organisations as important sector with needs and interest concerning energy issues and sustainable development.

In the second part of the meeting, the partnership discussed on how organise successful events for SMEs. The main lesson learned shared by all partners is to make sure that the project is well-known and capitalise on communication and cooperation with multiplicators (chambers of business, networks, handing out flyers to shope owners). Breakfast meeting seems to be also a good option for shop-owners. The choice of the timeslot as well as the location of the meeting also influence the number of attendees. The discussion helped the partners, especially those who will organise events in the next weeks.
