Biocamp alumni reunion networking event

ONLINE EVENT

20 April 2021 - 20 April 2021

The Biocamps were week-long, intensive training in key aspects of business growth that took place between 2017 and 2019, as part of the Interreg-funded BioBase4SME project. Thirty four new, biobased SMEs from seven countries took part in the training, which was specialised for bio-based products from sectors such as: biofuels, bioplastics, biochemicals, food and drink, construction and biomaterials. Those attending included new entrepreneurs just starting out, founders of more experienced companies and start-up employees.

Each workshop was residential, providing an opportunity for participants to focus on commercialising their idea and growing their companies without any external distractions. Two were held in the UK and one in the Netherlands, in association with Dutch regional development company Rewin. The programme included specialised training from Skillfluence, master classes with experts, mentoring by successful business leaders, peer-to-peer learning and networking. The finale was a live pitch to a panel of specialist investors.

Participants reported that one of the key benefits from the Biocamps was the opportunity to share experiences and learn from their peers. Now they will get the chance to renew and expand those peer-to-peer networks at the BioCamp 21 reunion.
