Roadshow Orléans Métropole and Département du Loiret
Besides being Valentine’s Day, 14 February was a special day for another reason: Département du Loiret and Orléans Métropole organised their BE-GOOD roadshow. The SMEs involved in the 3 challenges (or pilot projects)- Safer Roads (Artelys), Continuity of Traffic Flow (Nextérité) and Discovery of Natural Heritage (Eneo) - pitched their ideas and work to the broad audience.
Although being three very different challenges, they have something in common: create new services to citizens by reusing open data. That’s why SMEs were brought together during the round table session to discuss opportunities and difficulties when using public sector information to develop innovative solutions. Besides the French SMEs, Compass (involved in Rate My Transportation Service) and Data Science Lab (involved in Predictive Maintenance of Roads) pitched their work and joined the round table debate.
After receiving a lot of information about the 5 SMEs, it was time to test the audience with an interactive game. The roadshow concluded with the “business speed meetings” session facilitating new contacts for possible future partnerships and new business opportunities.
Right now, we are counting the days to the next roadshow in the Netherlands, keep an eye on the event page on our website for more information.
