Swansea University engineers have paid a visit to the location of one of ALG-AD's three investment sites. This one is located near Plymouth, Devon on the site of Langage AD.
Engineers will build the photobioreactors in Swansea and then transport them here. They should be operational by October 2018.
Once installed, scientists will start to monitor the upstream processing, where digestate is added to the algae to enable it to grow, and downstream processing where the algae is harvested.
