According to market research specialist Future Market Insights (IMF), global sales of natural cosmetics are expected to reach $54.5 billion (€48.4 billion) by 2027, compared to $34.5 billion (€30.6 billion) in 2018. The expected annual growth is therefore 5.2% on this market. This development will be fuelled by growing consumer concerns about the side effects of chemicals in cosmetics.

The European continent will remain the largest consumer of natural cosmetics in the world. It is also noted that consumer preference for organic and natural products cannot be reduced to food and drink. Indeed, sales of natural cosmetics are expected to account for more than two thirds of global sales of organic products in 2019.
In addition to skin care, which is expected to grow by more than 5% between 2018 and 2019, natural hair products are expected to grow even more strongly, with an estimated 33.1% growth between 2018 and 2027.
