Coming up: Practical training on tribological influences in sheet metal forming

A practical training on “Temperature-induced friction influence in sheet metal forming processes” will be held on 26 March 2019 at the Technical University of Darmstadt, Germany.

The training is organised within the INTERREG NWE project ASPECT. The ASPECT project will deliver accurate and fast models for the prediction and control of friction increase with temperature during production. The focus of ASPECT is on cold forming processes with multiple strokes per minute, where the temperature-induced friction increase and its effects on productivity are significant.

During the practical training at Darmstadt, the companies TriboForm and ESI SW Germany will demonstrate state-of-the-art numerical approaches to determine friction in metal forming processes. Dr. Filzek TriboTECH will showcase experimental methods to measure friction, as inputs or validation for the numerical models.

The target group for this training are industry professionals working on sheet metal forming processes, in particular cold forming and multiple strokes per minute. For more information and registration click here.
