The UP STRAW project aims to position straw as the premium biobased building material. Straw is a good insulator, easy available and, in combnation with clay, can be applied in buildings to realise a damp open construction.
This helps to create a healthy living space, created by natural materials.
The startup meeting of UP STRAW was organised in the Center National de La Construction Paille. The main building is the maison Feuillete, created in 1920 by the engineer Émile Feuilette. This made a historic surrounding for an important next pages in reducing CO2.
