Joint RAWFILL/EURELCO working group

OVAM, Stationsstraat 110, 2800 Mechelen, Belgium

7 February 2018 - 7 February 2018

Valuable resources such as raw materials and energy carriers lie dormant in North-West Europe’s 100.000 landfills. Many of these are located in highly populated areas, where the need and value for reclaimed land and raw materials are high. Reclaiming land and recovering secondary raw materials is still challenging. RAWFILL, a project of eight collaborating partners provides support to landill owners and managers to recover resources, both smartly and efficiently.

EURELCO is an open, quadruple helix network that supports the required technological, legal, social, economic, environmental and organisational innovation with respect to Enhanced Landfill Mining within the context of a transition to a resource efficient, circular, low-carbon economy.
