A French delegation visits the Port of Brussels and the BCCC
On October 13, a delegation composed of ST4W partners and French representatives from Ports of Lille, Lille Metropolis, Waterways agency, Planning agency and IMT Nord Europe engineering school visited the Port of Brussels and its Brussels Construction Consolidation Center (BCCC).

Hosted by the Port of Brussels and Shipit, the delegation was able to visit the premises of the BCCC and learn about the consolidation management of construction materials deliveries. Located at the Port of Brussels, the BCCC is a multimodal urban logistics platform connected to numerous construction sites of the Brussels metropolitan area. In that matter, the Port of Brussels has been an inspiring model for many inland ports across Europe.

Sharing knowledge and best practices among colleagues and benchmarking innovative solutions applied in other ports and cities are of the utmost importance in any project planning. By playing the role of facilitator, the ST4W once again demonstrated the importance of interregional networks and partnerships.
