Industrial Research. OREC is the UK's flagship technology innovation and research centre for offshore wind, wave and tidal energy. It has over 100 engineers and test facilities designed specifically for the ocean energy sector. OREC has successfully led and delivered FP7 and H2020 projects including RETA (SME support programme), LIFES50+ (Floating Wind), Optimus (Drive train reliability). It has also demonstrated an ability to convene industry data-sharing with projects such as SPARTA.
