Launch Design Competition France

Paris

4 July 2019

Initiated in the Netherlands in 2012, the EnergieSprong approach aims to accelerate the development of energy-efficient home renovations based on a logic of prefabrication and industrialisation.

After experimenting the approach in France on several pilot sites (Take a look at this link: www.energiesprong.fr/projets-pilotes-energiesprong-en-france/), the launch of a paid Design Competition aims to encourage companies to develop innovative and economically efficient technical solutions to be able to massify housing renovation in France.

This is a unique opportunity for all entrepreneurs and innovators in the sector to invest in research and development and to access new markets.

The potential on a national scale is particularly significant with more than 6,500 homes to be renovated by 2023.

The competition will focus on 2 types of housing (detached houses and collective buildings) and 3 prefabricated solutions, key to meeting EnergieSprong's specifications:

-> Insulating roof with energy production
-> Integrated energy production and control system
-> Insulating facade
The competition is open to companies and groups of companies of all sizes and all professions (architect, design office, builder, industrialist, designer...).

Each winning solution will be applied to a pilot building, in partnership with social housing landlords who signed the EnergieSprong France commitment charter.

The objectives and terms and conditions of the competition will be presented at a launch event organised in Paris on 4 July from 9am to 12.30pm.
