Domus Mundi vzw reuses building materials for Huldenberg pilot homes

The future is circular, low carbon homes! But how do you make sure they are affordable?

In this brief video, Stefaan Vandorpe explains how Domus Mundi vzw, through the reuse of building materials, ensures a decent living quality at a low price. Domus Mundi has installed "recup kitchens" in some of the pilot homes of our Interreg North-West Europe (NWE) Housing 4.0 Energy project in Huldenberg, Flanders. Introducing such a recycled/upcycled kitchen in a construction or renovation project, in the place of a new kitchen for at least the time being, is also a great way to spread expenses across a period of time, increasing the affordability of a home.
