The Geological Survey of Belgium (GSB), department of the Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences (RBINS), is a central player in national and international research and development projects. The geo-energy group is specialised in geothermal energy projects, and in Real Options-based geo-economic calculations to provide assessment of the potential of an underground resource or reservoir, integrating the above ground utilisation of the geothermal resource.
