BRGM, the French geological survey, is France’s reference public institution for Earth Science applications in the management of surface and subsurface resources and risks. BRGM aims to meet key challenges for our society, particularly those related to climate change, energy transition and the development of the circular economy. Around geosciences, BRGM is developing expertise to contribute to a harmonised management and controlled use of the soil and subsoil of cities and territories. BRGM's activity is organised around 6 major societal issues: • Geology and knowledge of the subsurface • Data, digital services and infrastructure • Risks and spatial planning • Groundwater management • Mineral resources and the circular economy • Subsurface potential for the energy transition Its programmes focus on scientific research, supporting public policies and international cooperation. The BRGM is one of the Carnot Institutes. It undertakes research under contract with industrial sectors and businesses of every size. In the DGE Rollout project, BRGM will be involve in the WPT1 in order to provide geological data (A1), identify stakeholders (A2) and give legal frame of France (A3). In WPT2, BRGM will mainly involve in the geophysical acquisition in Haut-de-France (A1) and will participle to the advanced exploration toolbox reflexion (A1) and the definition of the exploration workflow (A2). For BGRM, this project allows to bring a regional investigation for the exploration of deep geothermal energy in the Haut de France region in order to target some potential geothermal areas.
