5th CAN Project Meeting

Liège (Belgium)

21 March 2018 - 22 December 2017

On 21 and 22 March the partners of the CAN project met for the 5th time. The Belgian partner welcomed the rest of the team warmly in Liège, where this time the focus was on best practice examples and the question of how to measure the fruits of all the efforts undertaken in the CAN project.

Whether through Transitions Tours or Free Slow Cooking Workshops, in Liège the project partners demonstrated the diversity of activities that make up CAN - and inspired each other with their respective best-practice examples. Mutual support was not neglected either. The partners discussed the difficulties involved in measuring the success of their efforts and tried to establish common criteria.

The exchange on the topic of CO2 monitoring at the neighbourhood level was particularly successful. A new working group is being set up and first results are expected by the end of the year.

Gladys Grelaud, CAN Project Manager from Brest about the importance of personal meetings:

"We are taking a more holistic view on energy poverty now - thanks to the exchange with the UK partners, we will take health issues more into account in the future!"
