Reactor installed on site at Langage

Seven modules that make up one of the ALG-AD reactors have been transported and installed at the pilot facility in Langage, Devon.

Engineers from Swansea University took the modules on their four hour journey from their construction home in South Wales and have now fitted them together at their new home near Plymouth.

Over the course of the next week or so, tests will be undertaken to ensure there are no water leaks, and then full scale experiments will start in the New Year.

Project partners meanwhile will have the chance to see the reactor for themselves when they visit Langage this Friday 7th December 2018.

If you click on the link below you can see a video of the water test undertaken by engineers before the reactor was moved to Devon.
