Adaptive control system

At the 37th International Conference on Deep Drawing Research (IDDRG) held on 3-7 June 2018 in Vancouver, Canada, Dr. Jörg Heingärtner from the Swiss company inspire AG presented the adaptive tool control strategy developed in ASPECT. In the project, a control system has been designed to counteract the tribological effects of the temperature increase during the start-up of the manufacturing. These effects are responsible for a high number of rejected parts. The control strategy developed at inspire is currently being implemented in two demonstrator processes for automotive and consumer goods, respectively.
