Funding - How to apply

For a short explanation, see the Project Life Cycle Flash presentation.

Calls for proposals will be held throughout the Programme’s lifetime (2007-2013), twice a year during the first years of Programme implementation. Information on calls and all necessary guidance to assist applicants is available from the Programme website. The Guidance notes describe in detail the steps to follow in the development of a project. The documents you need to fill in are in the Application Pack.

Who can apply?

Any organisation with an involvement in territorial development-related issues may participate in the NWE Programme at any level. The Programme is open to all relevant actors dealing with regional economic development issues from the public, private and non-profit sectors. To receive funding, a project must include organisations from at least two countries, one of which should lie within the NWE cooperation area. Seven Member States are participating: Belgium, France, Ireland, Germany, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and the UK together with Switzerland (eligible cooperation area map).

What is the budget?

Of the 13 INTERREG IVB Programmes, the North West Europe Programme was allocated the largest budget for the period 2007 – 2013: More than €355 Million from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). The Programme’s Budget shows an updated overview of the remaining funds.
